Trance Hokuto no Ken

Released for the twenty-fifth anniversary of Hokuto no Ken, Trance Hokuto no Ken was published by 5pb. Records on December 25, 2008. Seven theme songs from the series and the movie are remixed in trance style by DJ KOO, of TRF, Uraken, quad, and Black Jaxx, the DJ duo of Dragon and actor Shinji Takeda, and sung by four voice actresses and singers: Haruko Momoi, Asami Shimoda, Asami Imai, and Juri Takita. Crystal King, namely Monsieur Yoshizaki, reprises his role on the two original theme songs, duetting with the guest performers.

Three bonus tracks round out the program: a remix of “TOUGH BOY” by 戸田宏武 and the instrumentals of the two DJ KOO mixes. The disc is a CD-Extra: it includes photos from the “Live 5pb.” event held on November 22, 2008, which the album commemorates the artists’ participation in, as well as audio files of iconic lines from the series recorded by the voice actors in attendance. The booklet opens with a message from Monsieur Yoshizaki dated November 2008.
