Ai wo Torimodose!! SPECIAL-EDITION
Crystal King’s high vocalist reprises his role: Masayuki Tanaka re-records “Ai wo Torimodose!!” and “Yuria… Eien ni” for Tomo Music, and teams up with TOM, the singer of TOM★CAT, on “TOUGH BOY”: three of the series’ vocal themes, brought together by two of their original performers. The CD and DVD box set was released on August 4, 2006.
The CD features nine tracks: the “SPECIAL-EDITION” versions of “Ai wo Torimodose!!” and “TOUGH BOY” as duets, the same songs performed solo by Tanaka and by TOM, “Yuria… Eien ni”, three instrumentals, and a bonus track, a cover of “Kanashikute Yarikirenai”, the Folk Crusaders classic. Yutaka Nakano handled the arrangements and played guitar, Northern Island did the remixes, under the production of Tomomi Matsui.
The “Rock Damashii” DVD, nineteen minutes long, shows Tanaka performing live with singer RIE and the band Cord≠G, with narration by Yoshio Nomura, the guitarist from Crystal King’s “MOVIE ver.” released four months earlier.
