Ken le Survivant: Original Television Series Soundtrack Vol. 1

First of the four CDs that the French publisher Loga-Rythme dedicated to Ken le Survivant in 2002, in its “Animé Classique” collection, of which it bears the number 8. The disc features, under license from Pony Canyon, music by Nozomu Aoki from the Japanese albums of the series, with titles translated into French by the publisher, and opens with the 1988 French opening theme, “Ken le survivant,” released by AB with the authorization of AB Disques Vidéo.

Twenty-six tracks: the French opening theme, the two Japanese opening and ending themes by Crystal King, two insert songs performed by Akira Kamiya, the voice of Kenshiro, “Ken – Hokutosei” and “Kōya no kaze,” and twenty-one background themes, from “Ken’s Theme” to “The City of the Southern Cross.” The back cover credits the performers of the songs, including Bernard Denimal for the French opening theme, whom neither the 1988 cassette nor the 1989 single had named. A twelve-page booklet provides translated lyrics and information about the series.
