Ken le Survivant (AB Kid cassette, 1988)

This AB Kid cassette was released in 1988, the year the series aired in France, distributed by PolyGram. Four songs across two sides: the theme song “Ken,” “Survivre,” and two tracks that appear to have never been reissued since, “C’est toi le plus grand” and “Notre champion.”

The sleeve does not credit any performer, only Toei Animation for the artwork. On the AB materials reviewed, the singer’s name, Bernard Denimal, does not appear anywhere; it is listed on the 2002 Loga-Rythme CD. The sleeve features the “Point Cadeau” square found on AB products of that era.

A second edition, published by SFC and distributed by Carrère with a different sleeve, includes the same four songs; the priority of one over the other has not been established.
