The parodic gaiden Hokuto no Ken Ichigo Aji got its very own figure, a unique piece by Embrace Japan, announced in 2017. Far from the usual solemn statues, it depicts one of the most memorable running gags in the series: Souther climbing the stairs toward his duel against Kenshiro, endlessly stabbed in the thigh by a mysterious turban-wearing kid appearing out of nowhere.

A gag turned into a toy
Sculpted by Ito Yoshinori (studio GEKOKUJYOU), the piece stands approximately 23 cm tall at 1/8 scale and brings together on a shared base the Holy Emperor and his tormentor, each on their own diorama. The kit even includes a Raoh helmet at a different scale to extend the size joke, and a blood-stained knife blade to reenact the scene. But the real spirit of the figure lies in its profusion of interchangeable parts: nine heads for Souther, ranging from his normal face to a bandaged face to a baseball cap or a kindergarten hat, and four right hands, the standard one, one holding a strawberry, a mushroom, or a spear. More than enough to reenact the scene in all its absurd variations.

A low-key release with a limited run, the figure can be tracked down on Yahoo Auctions, Mercari, and at specialized Japanese buyback shops. A rather niche piece in the Hokuto no Ken figure landscape, but a perfect testament to the tongue-in-cheek humor that made the Ichigo Aji gaiden so successful.
