Long before its 2020 resin busts, Kaiyodo had already paid tribute to the two major figures of Hokuto no Ken with a series of 1/6 scale busts, released in late 2007. Two polystone pieces dedicated to Kenshiro and Raoh, long regarded as among the finest representations of the two rivals.

Two 1/6 Scale Busts
The bust of Kenshiro, the successor of Hokuto Shinken, stands approximately 19 cm tall and captures the hero’s sorrow-laden gaze while also conveying his power. The bust of Raoh, the conqueror of the end of the century, rises to approximately 21 cm, including Ken-oh’s helmet. Both pieces are made of painted polystone, come with a dedicated base, and were released simultaneously in December 2007, allowing collectors to unite the two sworn brothers.
A Collaborative Effort with Tetsuo Hara
These busts are the work of sculptor Ken Matsuura, who engaged in extensive exchanges with Tetsuo Hara himself to achieve the final result. The attention to detail is taken to the extreme on the Raoh bust, whose musculature reproduces every last protruding vein. Presented by Kaiyodo as a flagship piece, this series showcases the Japanese studio’s craftsmanship at the peak of its artistry on the license.
