In October 2004, Kaiyodo opened a premium bust series devoted to Hokuto Shinken with Ryūken’s four disciples. Boxed and cast in painted polystone, these busts trade on the finesse of their sculpting and paintwork, and would return the following summer in a second colour scheme.

The four brothers of Hokuto
The series brings together Kenshiro, successor to Hokuto Shinken, Raoh, the conquering eldest brother, along with Toki and Jagi. The sculptor, Matsuura Ken, who also produced the 1/6 busts and the series devoted to the Nanto Rokuseiken, is credited on the front of each box. All four pieces were released together in October 2004, at 3,800 yen each.

The 2nd Color Edition
In late July 2005, Kaiyodo reissued the four busts in an entirely reworked colour scheme by Yatake Yoshinori, a professional finisher, flagged by a 2nd Color Edition sticker on the front of each box, where his name follows the sculptor’s. The sculpting is unchanged, and so is the price, 3,800 yen each. On these boxes, each character is introduced under his school, Hokuto Shinken for the three brothers, with Raoh bearing his title of conqueror of the end of the century and King of Fist.

A display stand to complete
Each bust comes with a fragment of base, and it is by bringing the four brothers together that the full display stand takes shape. The principle would be reused two years later on the series of the six masters of Nanto, whose sales pitch promises the same large stand once all six volumes are assembled. A device that pushes collectors to complete the family and display the whole of Hokuto on a single scene.
Specifications
Painted polystone busts, finished non-articulated products, non-scale, supplied with their fragment of base. Two years later, Kaiyodo would hand the same sculptor the series of the six masters of Nanto, whose six volumes together form a large display stand, then in 2007 the 1/6 busts of Kenshiro and Raoh, made through repeated exchanges with Tetsuo Hara.
