In 2020, Kaiyodo dove back into Hokuto no Ken to release two large-format resin busts dedicated to the two central figures of the series: Kenshiro and Raoh. These are display pieces with a refined finish, crafted for discerning collectors.

Two busts by Kaiyodo
The Kenshiro bust, standing approximately 14 cm tall, emphasizes the hero’s chiseled musculature and the rendering of his hair. The Raoh bust, slightly more imposing at around 16 cm, faithfully reproduces Ken-oh’s helmet and the conqueror’s cape, with constant attention to detail and texture. Each bust is a painted resin piece, delivered with a dedicated base and a metallic display case, ideal for collecting.
A sculptor’s touch
Both pieces were sculpted by Masahiko Kagawa, one of Kaiyodo’s modelers, whose particular sensitivity allows, according to the manufacturer, for more presence to emerge from a simple bust than from many full-body figures. The result stands apart from more conventional busts: these are less a straightforward depiction than a true interpretation of Tetsuo Hara’s original characters, faithful to the spirit of the manga.
