Souten no Ken Regenesis, Volume 5

Thank you to the readers who have been patient. I made you wait a very long time. Volume 5, released after a five-year hiatus! Being able to release it thanks to the support of so many people moves me deeply. Regarding the reason for this long hiatus, I made it public on X (formerly Twitter), so I won't go into detail here, but even during the break, Regenesis always occupied a corner of my mind, along with the readers who were waiting for it. Looking back, while hoping for this day, various problems arose, and it was also a path of difficulties that had to be overcome little by little. There were people I will never see again, people who rejected me wanting nothing more to do with me, people I parted ways with against my will, people who left. There was sadness. But I hold no resentment. I am grateful for everything that was done for me until now. I can no longer tell them directly, but I will take advantage of this space to say... thank you. To my editor, Mr. Kasahara. Thank you for working and giving your all with the various parties to make my will a reality in preparation for the resumption. Master Buronson, Master Hiroyuki Yatsu, thank you. Regenesis restarted with a new team from the resumption issue onward. Currently, one background assistant and one finishing assistant. That is roughly half the staff from before the hiatus, but I believe this is the best small elite team, which is in no way inferior to before. On backgrounds, the legend from the original Hokuto no Ken, Mr. Kazuo Watanabe; on finishing, a veteran of the Ikusa no Ko team, Mr. Takuya Aihara. Both of them take on at full power the unreasonable challenge of creating a work of such density with so few people, and I can only thank them. The pattern on Simeon's shawl, which I also used in the afterword, was created by my friend since my twenties, Kazuya Yasuda. Thank you. And to my master Tetsuo Hara. Thank you infinitely for believing in me, for entrusting this work to me, and for watching over me. (Sorry for absolutely doing things my own way.) I engrave in my heart the words you gave me and I will continue to the very end. Readers, I hope you will accompany Kasumi Kenshiro's story to its very conclusion.
