Kenshiro stays in
Mamiya 's village to guard against a new attack from the Fang Clan. Kemada watches for an opportunity but backs down before Kenshiro, and that is when a man emerges from the desert: Rei, a virtuoso of Nanto Suichōken. Kemada has him enter the village as a new guard.
Rin notices that Rei, when he looks at Mamiya, has the same gentle gaze as Kenshiro. Kenshiro repels the Fang Clan once more, and Rei, having entered their service, stands before him.
