Overview
“Comic Pachislot Hokuto no Ken, the book of the transmission of secret techniques” (コミック PACHISLOT 北斗の拳 奥義継承の書) is the first volume of a series of pachislot strategy manga that Takarajimasha dedicated to Sammy's Hokuto no Ken machine, in parlors since 2003. It was released in the Wonderland Comics collection. The stories, by more than a dozen authors, revolve around pachislot, such as the series “Tokyo Pachislot Baby” (東京パチスロベイベー).
Pachislot strategy manga (パチスロ漫画, or 攻略漫画 when strategy dominates) form a genre of their own in Japan, with their own magazines. Their stories follow players at a specific machine, and each session serves to show how to play it, read its on-screen effects and guess its settings.
