Artisantoy is a Tokyo-based sofubi manufacturer that handles the entire soft vinyl chain, from prototype to production, for its own creations as well as for other studios. Its Hokuto no Ken line includes only three references of approximately 20 cm, a Kenshiro with a subtly deformed style and, most notably, one of the very rare Amiba figures, seldom produced as a dedicated figure.

Amiba, finally in sofubi
The fake Toki, self-proclaimed genius with the legendary “Uwaraba!!” cry, is one of the most iconic characters of the series among the Japanese fandom, and yet almost no manufacturer has dared to produce him. Artisantoy rights this injustice with two sofubi figures of approximately 20 cm, one in flesh color and another in manga colors. The official product listing playfully asks whether you are ready to “welcome Amiba-sama” into your home. A perfectly unapologetic niche piece, for collectors who know their classics.
A Kenshiro between realism and deformed
The second reference is a Kenshiro in a painted version (14,300 yen including tax), open for pre-orders in February 2025 through the Hakaba no Garou gallery. The artistic approach strikes a delicate balance between realism and deformation: an inverted-triangle silhouette, a sharp gaze, hair sculpted in bold angular volumes, and the seven scars faithfully reproduced on the chest. A stylistic exercise that captures the essence of Tetsuo Hara’s linework in the language of contemporary sofubi.
Where to find them
The pieces are sold through Artisantoy’s online shop and via the Hakaba no Garou gallery in Nakano, in limited quantities and in production waves. As is often the case with artisanal sofubi, alternative colorways may appear at various events, with no comprehensive official catalog.
