A Japanese independent sofubi studio with an eclectic catalog spanning Baki, City Hunter, and Devilman, RED SHARK (レッドシャーク) dedicates several sculptures of approximately 20 cm to Hokuto no Ken, featuring Kenshiro and especially Jagi, available in a collection of colorways that have become the studio’s trademark. Distribution in small runs through the Hakaba no Garou gallery in Nakano, as is customary in this circuit.

Jagi, unexpected star of the catalog
In a rare occurrence, it is the renegade brother rather than Kenshiro who takes center stage. The RED SHARK Jagi is documented in at least four finishes: a fully painted version at 14,300 yen, neon green and neon pink colorways at 6,600 yen in the purest tradition of loud sofubi, and a surprising “black bust-style” colorway at 7,700 yen that transforms the sofubi into a faux display statue. Kenshiro, for his part, comes only in a flesh-colored version at 6,600 yen, the classic base of indie sofubi also intended for amateur painters.
Finding them today
All documented references are sold out at Hakaba no Garou and can be sought on Yahoo Auctions Japan and Mercari. As is always the case with event-based sofubi, other colorways may have circulated during drops or exhibitions without leaving a trace in stores, and this page will be updated as new discoveries are made.
