The official website hokuto-anime.com has revealed the three additional voices joining the Hokuto no Ken – Fist of the North Star 2026 anime for episode 11. Kinoshita Hiroyuki plays the Elder of Mamiya’s village, Ōga Genki lends his voice to Kou, Mamiya’s little brother, and Hanawa Eiji voices the bar owner. All three actors also shared their official comments alongside the announcement, translated below.
The Elder of Mamiya’s Village: Kinoshita Hiroyuki
A respected figure of the village community, the Elder (長老) is the wise man who represents Mamiya’s village. He is the one who negotiates the welcome of Kenshiro and his companions in exchange for their protection against the bandits. The role is entrusted to Kinoshita Hiroyuki, an experienced stage and voice acting veteran in Japan.
Kinoshita Hiroyuki’s Comment
On the project: A desolate landscape like in the movie Mad Max, a daily life where law and order no longer exist, where looting and murder are commonplace. In such a world, how can a human continue to live as a human? The characters themselves embody the answer to that question. Bringing these characters to life is an extremely stimulating challenge for an actor.
His favorite line: “You are already dead…” I often used it when I lost an argument with a friend.
His favorite character: Toki. I have always loved this character who, despite his perpetually sad expression, possesses both strength and kindness.
His encounter with Hokuto no Ken: Its publication in Shōnen Jump. I remember being struck by the power of the artwork in the battle scenes.
What it takes to survive in the post-apocalyptic era: In a world of every man for himself without the Internet or smartphones, where you can only rely on your own knowledge and experience… Ultimately, what matters is the attention you give to others. Wanting to live for others becomes your own life force. A human cannot live alone.
Kou, Mamiya’s Little Brother: Ōga Genki
Kou (コウ) is Mamiya’s younger brother. A witness and victim of the violence from the bandits threatening the village, he embodies the fragile youth that the villagers try to protect in this post-apocalyptic world. The role is entrusted to Ōga Genki, an actor known for voicing several young characters in recent anime.
Ōga Genki’s Comment
On the project: I am extremely happy to be able to participate in a work loved by so many people. My appearance scene is not long, but it was crafted with great care. I screamed a lot. I screamed the entire time. I also got dizzy several times. I can’t wait to see the result.
His favorite line: I can’t go into detail about it, but the very first line of the work, “199X, the world was engulfed in nuclear flames,” sums up in an instant the universe, what happened to the people, and the story that will unfold. It is a magnificent line.
His favorite character: The “Giant Grandmother” (でっけえおばあさん). No particular reason, I just love that part.
His encounter with Hokuto no Ken: I don’t remember what got me into it anymore, but it all started when I collected the entire complete edition of the manga.
What it takes to survive in the post-apocalyptic era: A trade…? Like a division of roles.
The Bar Owner: Hanawa Eiji
A discreet witness to the passing of wandering warriors, he is one of those figures who bring a touch of humanity to the desolation. The role is entrusted to Hanawa Eiji, a fan of the series from the very beginning, who did not hide his enthusiasm in his comment.
Hanawa Eiji’s Comment
On the project: I approached this role by putting all the strength of the Hokuto no Ken spirit that has flowed through me since elementary school. The character I play, “the bar uncle,” is a non-combatant and one of the rare “conscience characters who don’t die” in the work. Since I had already known the ending for a long time, I was able to play my part fully and with complete peace of mind. For the henchmen who explode too, I gave it my all with no fooling around, with all my respect. Of course, I wasn’t alone: everyone who voiced the henchmen did so seriously. The “seriously, no fooling around” is obviously from the “Hokuto no Ken henchmen code of conduct.” No worries. Watch it to the fullest. I look forward to a possible 4DX theatrical release someday.
His favorite line: “Beyond a hundred men, I can’t remember anymore!”
His favorite character: Master Rashō Han.
His encounter with Hokuto no Ken: Hmmm…? Although it suddenly appeared one day in an explosive manner, it entered my life so naturally that I can’t even remember. Sorry. Jump, collected volumes, anime? Which one was it? That said, at the time, my father was also eagerly waiting for the anime, and we would watch it together while having dinner. My mother hated it.
What it takes to survive in the post-apocalyptic era: Unless you’re a violent 190 cm giant, it’s pretty tough. If I had to give advice anyway, it would be: “only act in the dead of night.”
An episode rich in new arrivals
These three additional voices complete the episode 11 team, which marks the opening of a major new arc with the arrival of Rei (Nakamura Yūichi) and Mamiya (Aoki Ruriko), as presented in our episode 11 preview.
