Japanese manufacturer SpiceSeed has just opened preorders for a new batch of SSD (Soft Sofvi Doll) Hokuto no Ken figures. Five references in the catalog, including classics like Kenshiro, Jagi and Shin, as well as a trio of Zakos and the legendary old woman from volume 4 of the manga.

A nod to secondary characters
The timing is delightful: we were just talking this morning on the site about the animated spin-off Ken’ou-gun Zako-tachi no Banka and the famous “zakos disguised as a grandmother.” The Dekai Babā figurine is a direct reference to this gag from the manga.
SpiceSeed continues its approach of building an exhaustive catalog, covering not only the iconic figures of the saga but also secondary characters that few manufacturers bother to produce. An approach that speaks to hardcore collectors, those who have read and reread the manga for over 40 years.
