Tinibiz-Joy brings together deformed figures approximately fifty-five millimeters tall, sculpted in a super deformed style that emphasizes the heads and softens the silhouettes. Each character comes with a small accessory chosen to evoke their story, a detail that gives the collection all its charm. Shin, for example, comes accompanied by the Southern Cross flag, the emblem of his short-lived empire.
These figures follow a distribution method unique to Japan. They are not sold in stores but are obtained exclusively in arcades, as prizes to be won from claw machines. This game-reward aspect adds to their endearing nature and to the hunt that collectors dedicate to tracking them down.
The full cast in chibi form
The strength of Tinibiz-Joy lies in the breadth of its cast. Across successive waves, the line unfolds a complete panorama of the saga. It features Kenshiro, his three adoptive brothers Raoh, Toki, and Jagi, as well as Yuria, Rei, Shin, Souther, Yuda, Amiba, Juza, Ryuga, Shu, and Fudo. The series even ventures into the Land of Shura, with Kaioh, the fighter Shachi, and an anonymous warrior from that hostile land, as well as the Gento Koken side with Falco.
True to the conventions of the genre, the collection offers a few variants that are a treat for collectors. Several key characters, including Kenshiro, Raoh, Rei, and Yuria, have alternative versions, and Falco even gets a gold variant. Raoh, finally, would not quite be himself without his faithful Kokuoh, who rounds out the lineup.
