Everlasting Songs

First album released under the name FictionJunction, Yuki Kajiura’s vocal project, released on FlyingDog on 25 February 2009 in a gatefold card sleeve, priced at 3,045 yen. Fifteen tracks produced by the composer, who arranged all of them except “synchronicity”. They are sung by Yuuka, Kaori, Keiko, Wakana, Yuriko Kaida and Asuka, and mix new songs from the project with songs revisited from her repertoire.

The eighth track, “Hanamori no Oka”, sung by Kaori with backing vocals by Yuriko Kaida, over acoustic guitar, flute, percussion and strings, is, according to the broadcaster’s programme listings, the ending theme of the 2008 OVA Shin Kyuseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken Toki Den, whose music Kajiura composed. Neither the obi nor the back cover mentions the series. A version recorded in concert appears on the project’s live double album released in 2010.
