“Don’t give up on life. You will keep on living.” Here is yet another unexpected and touching collaboration: the brand DUSKIN Health Rent teams up with Hokuto no Ken to give birth to Careshiro (ケアシロウ), a savior of a new kind, one dedicated to elderly care.
Careshiro, the savior of care
The name of this character is based on a play on words: Careshiro (ケアシロウ) merges the English word “care” with the name Kenshiro. The famous “savior of the end of the century” thus becomes the “savior of care” (介護の救世主), and his legendary “You are already dead” transforms into a message of hope: “Don’t give up on life, you will keep on living.”
In 2026, Japan has become a society dominated by an aging population, and families struggle to find the information they need to support their loved ones. Faced with this wall of lacking information about elderly care, a man appears, Careshiro, who protects people’s lives “with his love and care equipment.” A parody faithful to the spirit of Hokuto no Ken, where the hero reaches out to the most vulnerable.
Raising awareness about elderly care with humor
Behind this offbeat concept, the goal of DUSKIN Health Rent, a subsidiary specializing in medical equipment and home care rental under the DUSKIN group, is very real: raising public awareness about elderly care, assessment procedures, and care equipment rental programs, all topics that are often little known but invaluable when dependency strikes a family. The campaign takes the form of collaboration videos between DUSKIN Health Rent and Hokuto no Ken, available on the dedicated special website.
The campaign also includes a recruitment component, inviting viewers to become “saviors of care” themselves by joining the caregiving profession. A way to highlight these professions through the heroic figure of Kenshiro.
A collaboration in the wake of the 2026 anime
This collaboration is part of the momentum surrounding the Hokuto no Ken – Fist of the North Star anime, currently streaming worldwide on Amazon Prime Video. It once again illustrates the franchise’s ability to reach unexpected fields, from KURE 5-56 lubricant to protein supplements, and now elderly care.
