The official site hokuto-anime.com has just published the announcement for episode 5 of the Hokuto no Ken Fist of the North Star 2026 anime. Titled “Bloody Cross” (血の十字架), it will air on Friday, April 24 on Prime Video. The final confrontation between Kenshiro and Shin is imminent.

What this means for what comes next
Episode 5 marks the conclusion of the Shin arc, the first major arc of the original manga. Kenshiro, who has just defeated Heart in episode 4 despite the imperviousness of his fat, finally faces the man who carved the seven scars into his chest and took Yuria from him.
The title “Bloody Cross” carries heavy meaning. In the manga, the final scene of the confrontation with Shin is one of the most iconic in the entire work: Shin, cornered and defeated, reveals a truth about Yuria that shatters Kenshiro. It is one of the most emotionally powerful moments in the entire manga, and the ultimate test of whether the 2026 production can handle drama as well as action.
