The original artwork of Tetsuo Hara is returning to Tokyo. From September 12 to October 25, 2026, the GALLERY ZENON in Kichijoji will host Hokuto no Ken Gengaten RETURNS+, subtitled “from the end of the century to the Tentei,” featuring over 150 original pages and, for the first time, those from the Tentei arc.
The return of the originals from the major 40th anniversary exhibition
Between October 2023 and April 2025, the major 40th anniversary exhibition toured four cities across Japan, showcasing pages hand-drawn by the manga artist. These originals are now returning to Tokyo, at the Coamix gallery in Kichijoji, with a significant addition: the pages from the Tentei arc, the final part of the story where Kenshiro faces the Empire of the Tentei, which had never been exhibited before.
This is the full meaning of the “plus” appended to this edition’s title, and of its subtitle: the exhibition now spans from the first steps of the Hokuto Shinken successor across the devastated lands all the way to the final battles of the series.
An exhibition in two phases
The exhibition changes along the way, with each period featuring its own selection. The first, from September 12 to October 5, brings together the pages from the arc of the Six Sacred Stars of Nanto and those from the Tentei arc. The second, from October 7 to 25, highlights the arc of the Four Brothers of Hokuto and the Five Chariot Stars of Nanto, again accompanied by the Tentei arc. The two periods combined total over 150 pages, more than enough to justify a double visit for the most dedicated fans.

Visits are organized by time slots, with several available during the opening weekend. Worth noting: fans visiting Tokyo this fall can also follow up with the exhibition dedicated to the 2026 anime at Anime Tokyo Station, open until November 8 in Ikebukuro.
