Episodes 3 and 4 of the Hokuto no Ken anime will be available this Friday, April 17, on Prime Video. On the program: the entrance into Southern Cross, the fortress of Shin, and the first confrontation against Heart.
Episode 3: Southern Cross
Kenshiro and Bat finally arrive at Southern Cross, the fortress city held by the army of KING. From the moment they enter, they witness the brutality of the regime, civilians reduced to slavery, terrorized by Club, one of Shin’s four lieutenants. Faced with this cruelty, Kenshiro doesn’t need to think twice.
Episode 4: Flames of Obsession
Episode 4 marks the long-awaited confrontation with Shin, but before getting there, it’s Heart who stands in Kenshiro’s way. The colossus is protected by a layer of fat so thick that it absorbs and dissipates the strikes of Hokuto Shinken, rendering Kenshiro’s technique completely ineffective. A desperate fight that forces the hero to push past his own limits.
The New Voice Actors
Three new seiyū make their entrance in these episodes: Chafurin (Inspector Megure in Détective Conan) lends his voice to Heart, Yasuhiro Mamiya (Gigantomachia in My Hero Academia) portrays Dia, and Anri Katsu (Daidara in Akame ga Kill!) plays Club. A cast tailor-made for these larger-than-life characters.
The Hokuto no Ken 2026 Anime in Brief
The Hokuto no Ken 2026 anime is an entirely new adaptation of the original manga by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, produced by TMS Entertainment for the franchise’s 40th anniversary. The series airs every Friday on Prime Video worldwide, with French subtitles (VOSTFR) and French dubbing (VF). The first two episodes were released on April 10, 2026, followed by episodes 3 and 4 on April 17. Starting next week, the series will adopt a pace of one episode per week.
The direction is handled by Hiroshi Maeda, with Kazuhiko Inuka on scripts, and Yuki Hayashi, known for My Hero Academia, on music composition. The band Alexandros performs the opening “Hallelujah” and Toshl sings the ending, a remix of “Ai o Torimodose !!” by Crystal King, the original theme song from the 1984 anime.
The Shin Arc, the First Major Arc of Hokuto no Ken
The Shin arc is the first major narrative arc of the Hokuto no Ken manga and the one that lays the emotional foundations for the entire series. Shin, successor of Nanto Koshuken and former best friend of Kenshiro, orchestrated everything to seize Yuria, Kenshiro’s fiancée, whom he has secretly loved all along. Manipulated by Jagi, he challenged Kenshiro in a rigged fight, inflicted the seven scars on his chest, and left him for dead before establishing himself as the tyrannical lord of Southern Cross.
This arc introduces the central themes of the series: betrayal among brothers in arms, sacrifice for love, and the question of whether strength alone is enough to justify everything. Shin’s four lieutenants, Spade, Club, Diamond, and Heart, serve as a dramatic progression before the final confrontation between the two former friends. Each lieutenant represents a more difficult obstacle than the last, with Heart being the most formidable due to his impenetrable defense that puts Hokuto Shinken in check for the first time.

Episodes 3 and 4 of Hokuto no Ken 2026 are available exclusively on Prime Video in France since Friday, April 17, 2026. An Amazon Prime subscription is required to access them. The series is available in the original Japanese version with French subtitles (VOSTFR) and in the French dubbed version (VF).
