SpiceSeed unveils as a world premiere at its SpiceSeed Festival 2026 in Akihabara UDX event (April 29-30) a piece that has no equivalent in the world of Hokuto no Ken collectibles: a wooden sculpture of Raoh & Kokuō. The King of Fists on his black steed, carved from wood, in an ultra-limited edition at ¥1,100,000 incl. tax.
SpiceSeed, who are they?
SpiceSeed is a Japanese studio specializing in high-end collectible figures and sculptures, primarily for the Kinnikuman, Hokuto no Ken, and Dai no Daiboken licenses. Their signature: monumental pieces, prices that make you think twice, and a level of finish that clearly places them in the art piece category rather than merchandising. Their Raoh & Kokuō in painted resin, sculpted by Matsuura-sensei, considered the number one sculptor in the Hokuto no Ken universe, is already a reference piece in the collector community. It measures 49 cm in height and was sold for ¥327,800 in the standard version at its release in 2023. A Japanese fan who received his piece describes the result as breathtaking, notably the gilding with a paint quality rarely seen on a figure.
SpiceSeed has also been practicing wood carving for several years; their Kimen Ashuraman in teak wood and their Shū in wood demonstrate a genuine mastery of the medium, unusual in the world of anime figures.

Where the 2023 resin version was already a monumental piece at 49 cm, this wood sculpture is in a completely different category. Sculpted wood is an extremely rare medium in the world of anime collecting, bringing the piece closer to traditional Japanese art craftsmanship rather than figurines. Each piece is by definition unique in its details, as the wood reacts differently depending on the grain and the cut.
The armored colossus on his elephant-sized black stallion, in a conqueror’s pose, cape billowing in the wind. SpiceSeed and Matsuura-sensei know this subject inside and out, and the wood version is the natural culmination of this work.
