Today, we shine the spotlight on an Italian artist whose remarkable work is truly admirable. Roberto Scozzafava is a painter, a colorist: he doesn’t sculpt the figures, he brings them to life through color. It all started about six years ago, on a simple bet with a friend. Six years later, his work is such that he is regularly entrusted with pieces to paint, precisely because of the way he colors them. He publishes his finished pieces on his public Facebook page or his Facebook group L’Olimpo delle anime 3d, and his Hokuto no Ken catalog impresses with its diversity and precision, featuring Kenshiro, Raoh, Heart, Souther, Shû and many others, each brought to life by work of rare finesse. The artist will be present at the Italian collectors’ fair in Novegro on Sunday, May 31, 2026, an ideal opportunity to showcase his work to the French-speaking audience.

His latest piece: the Raoh bust in bronze finish
To close out this feature, here is Roberto’s very latest creation, which the artist sent to us directly: a bust of Raoh rendered in a bronze finish. Far from a simple metallic flat coat, the work plays on copper gradients and reflections to bring out the modeling of the face, the musculature, and the details of the armor. The result evokes a genuine bronze sculpture, like a monument dedicated to the King of Hokuto. A fine demonstration of Roberto’s mastery of monochrome finishes, which demand particular rigor since everything relies on light and the nuances of a single tone.
A body of work to discover
Beyond the diversity of characters represented, it is the consistency of the level of execution that stands out across Roberto Scozzafava’s entire catalog. Souther’s golden armor, Yuda’s extravagant makeup, the intensity of the Zeed and Rin diorama, the bronze finish of his very latest Raoh bust. Each piece receives the same meticulous care. His work in its entirety can be viewed on his public Facebook page, where he regularly posts his latest creations. He will also be present at the Italian collectors’ fair in Novegro on Sunday, May 31, 2026, giving Italian collectors the chance to admire his pieces with their own eyes. Painting work of rare quality on the Hokuto no Ken universe, which fully deserved this spotlight.
