The official website of the new Hokuto no Ken (2026) anime has revealed a new cast member. The character of Colonel, leader of the GOLAN group, will be voiced by seiyuu Takaki Hoshino.
Takaki Hoshino joins the cast
Presented as the leader of GOLAN, Colonel is one of the notable antagonists from the early part of Kenshiro’s story. For this new adaptation, Takaki Hoshino will be lending his voice to the character.
The actor shared a message about his participation in the project:
“Being able to participate in Hokuto no Ken in the Reiwa era is a true honor. I tried to bring all my energy and my vision of what Hokuto no Ken should be.”
He also explains that he grew up with the series during the original anime’s broadcast and owns the bunkoban editions as well as the Ultimate edition of the manga.
Takaki Hoshino’s favorite character
During this official presentation, the actor revealed that his favorite character in the franchise was Fudō of the Mountain, one of the most iconic warriors of Hokuto no Ken.
He also cited one of his favorite lines from the series:
“It will bear fruit… that elder sleeps beneath our feet.”
Finally, when asked what it takes to survive in the world of Hokuto no Ken, Takaki Hoshino answered:
“Knowing why you fight. Whether it’s for love, family, or your companions.”
Episode 7 preview
The official website also released the preview for episode 7 of the new Hokuto no Ken anime.
In this episode, Kenshiro continues his confrontation against the GOLAN forces while the threat represented by Colonel continues to grow. The first images reveal a particularly tense atmosphere, with several action sequences showcasing the series’ characteristic brutality.
