The website of the mobile game Hokuto no Ken LEGENDS ReVIVE, developed and published by Sega, has just released its monthly letter to players, dated May 29, 2026. The director reveals the new character coming on May 31, the event schedule for June with the LR rarity promotion of Ryūken, and the LR releases planned for July and August. The game is also approaching its seventh anniversary.
New LR character: Falco “The Golden Wolf”
Starting May 31, 2026, players will be able to add the new character Falco “The Golden Wolf” to their collection, a Technique-type character eligible for LR rarity promotion. He is a versatile character whose ultimate skill grants an ally the “Protection Activation” effect, which extends the trigger conditions of the Protect skill to also cover area attacks and piercing attacks.
Falco also features an adaptive effects system based on team composition: his Destiny Deliverance skill changes its bonuses depending on the number of Power, Technique, and Body type fighters present in the formation. The most powerful effects, notably a trigger of Instant Death on the opponent, activate when three or more fighters of a given type are present. Progression of the LR Seven Stars Deliverance also reduces the required thresholds, allowing more bonus effects to chain simultaneously.
June schedule: LR promotion for Ryūken “The Cold-Hearted Master”
The highlight event of June will be the LR rarity promotion of Ryūken “The Cold-Hearted Master” (リュウケン 冷徹なる師父), which came in first place in the player vote. To celebrate the occasion, Sega is organizing a “Choose Your Tomo” campaign throughout the month, with several rewards for players.
Among the campaign bonuses is the free distribution to all players who log in during the event period of 150 UR fragments of Ryūken, allowing those who do not yet own the character to summon him via the ReVive system before proceeding with his LR promotion. A collection event will also be held.
Upcoming LR promotions: Hyō in July, Jūza in August
The Director Letter also confirms the next two LR promotions from the same anniversary vote:
- July 2026: Hyō “The Second Rashō” (第二の羅将 ヒョウ), who placed second in the vote
- August 2026: Jūza “Rising Clouds” (ジュウザ 湧きたつ雲), who placed third
The “Choose Your Tomo” campaign will be renewed for each of these two milestones, with character fragments offered as rewards to participating players.
A look back at recent May releases
The Director Letter also looks back at the two notable additions of May. First, the arrival of the first non-combatant LR character with Rin “She Who Lives for Love”, a Power-type unit with particularly impressive offensive capabilities. Director Uematsu confirms that this category of non-combatant LR characters will continue to expand in the coming months, encouraging players to experiment with new team compositions.
Then, the rarity promotion of Aka-Shachi (赤鯱), which surprised part of the community. The director reaffirms on this occasion one of the philosophies of the LR system: to allow players to “combine the most varied characters from the Hokuto no Ken universe in combat compositions”, without being limited to the main iconic figures. More surprises of this kind are to be expected in the coming months.
Hokuto no Ken LEGENDS ReVIVE
Hokuto no Ken LEGENDS ReVIVE is a mobile role-playing game developed by Sega, available for free on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
