On 10 and 11 October, SpiceSeed held its festival in Osaka, on the seventh floor of Namba SkyO, for the third year in a row. Alongside Kinnikuman, Dai no Daibōken and My Hero Academia, the Hokuto no Ken display cases held two characters the brand had never presented before, as well as a new version of Souther.

The jailer of Cassandra
He was waiting at the back of a display case, leaning on his throne, chin resting on his fist and whip coiled in the other hand, as if watching for the next prisoner. Uighur, the chief warden of Cassandra, had never been given a piece by SpiceSeed. The throne is built to his scale, its backrest bristling with horns that tower above him. For now, neither a price nor a date has been announced.

The last star
A large wall displayed the six stars of Nanto, each in its own niche beneath its portrait: Shin, Rei, Yuda, Shû, Souther. One was missing. She was waiting at the end of the wall. Yuria steps forward, her cape lifted by the wind, as if about to leave. With her, the six stars will finally be reunited at SpiceSeed.

Souther steps off the palanquin
At SpiceSeed, Souther had never left his palanquin. Now he stands, hand outstretched towards whoever dares challenge him, his purple cape spread open behind him. In front of him, a second head, the one with the horned mask. Festival visitors were able to reserve this Souther before anyone else. Others will be able to order it online within a few months, in resin, at 84,480 yen, with delivery ten months after orders close.

Thrones and mounts
The palanquin itself sat enthroned on red velvet, pulled by its large white motorcycle, in the 2024 version. A little further along, Kaioh surged forth on horseback from a backdrop of smoke, his bare-faced head placed beside him. And Raoh appeared twice: on his throne, then atop Kokuō, this time entirely in wood, a sculpture priced at over one million yen, mane blowing in the wind beneath a sky of lightning.

The full catalogue on display
The rest looked like a catalogue you can no longer buy from, as all these pieces are sold out. Falco the golden, set against an explosion of golden rays, expected for pre-order since its launch in Akihabara. Then Jagi and his bust, Jûza, Mamiya, Rei, Shin and Shû.

Under the gaze of the creators
On a dark wall, two frames. A marker-drawn Kenshiro, dedicated to SpiceSeed and dated 24 September, which Tetsuo Hara drew for the occasion. Beside it, the signature of Buronson and his red seal, dated September 2023. For one weekend, the two creators of Hokuto no Ken watched over the festival.

See you in 2027 in Akihabara
SpiceSeed closed the festival by announcing the next one on 29 and 30 April 2027, at Akihabara UDX. Perhaps it will be a chance to see Uighur and Yuria again, and to learn a little more. All of the brand’s resin figures are gathered on the SpiceSeed page.
Thanks to the visitors who agreed to share their photos.
